So it’s been a week since my last post and all of my new skincare products finally came in the mail! I will definitely be doing a haul to show what I have been using on my face for the past three days but right now I just want to give a brief update.
Diet – In my last post, I mentioned that I had not been eating the healthiest. Since then, I have been working more vegetables into my daily diet (i.e. salad, lol). Salad seems to be the easiest way to work vegetables into your diet. And either I forgot how much I actually like salad, or my body was seriously deprived of vegetables because I have been completely devouring my salads and vegetable wraps that I have been eating. In my salads and wraps, I choose the darker green salad mix as opposed to the pale iceberg lettuce that is mostly water. Then I just ask for a whole bunch of other veggies and salad toppings. For my wraps, I literally just ask for my salad to be placed inside a wheat wrap lol.
Sleep – I also mentioned that I would like to get 8-9 hours of sleep a night and that I would be turning my electronics off by 9:30pm. For this past week, I have been going back and forth between getting 7 to 8 hours of sleep and barely any sleep (4-5 hrs). Which is an improvement…..I guess? And as for my electronics, I can’t say I’ve done a great job of turning them all off by 9:30. (For instance, it’s actually 10:11pm right now, lol). But I have been in bed and sleep between 10:30/11:00pm, so yay!
Skincare – I have only been using my new skincare products for 3 days. Combine that with the minor changes that I have been incorporating into my daily life all week and I have definitely been seeing changes in my skin! No miraculous improvements just yet but my skin is improving. It has actually gotten flatter. And what I mean by that is my skin texture is a bit smoother and my bumps are going away. It’s crazy what a healthier diet, somewhat sufficient sleep, and proper skincare can do for you in a short period of time.
Exercise – I can’t say that I have been exercising. But if you want to count all the constant walking and lifting and hauling clothes I do at my new job then, yea sure, I exercise lol.
Here are some progress pictures. Before is on the left, after is on the right. All pictures were taken 8 days apart.
Can’t say there has been much of a change with my large pores so I did not post any pictures of them. That’s just something I will have to live with since I have oily skin. In my research about oily skin. I read that oily skinned individuals usually suffer with large pores. Oh well for now.
I am happy with my progress so far. I will continue doing what it is I’m doing so my skin can continue to get smoother. One of the main things I will be concentrating on is my hyper-pigmentation. You can see in the photos that I have quite a bit of dark marks left on my face from my breakouts and I want to get rid of this. I will try posting more progress pics in another week.
If you’ve made it to the end of this post, thank you for reading!
